Building First Application in C#.net 2010


Visual studio 2010 is a fully loaded development packs. If you want to develop an application project in c#.net it is very easy and simple for creating your first project steps are:

Step 1: start visual studio 2010.

Step 2: click new project in start page or you may follow the menu option go to “file” then “new” and click on “project” then “new project” window will open.

Step 3: select language visual c# for creating the window application you may select “windows form applications”.

Step 4: Give name and location to your project, when you giving name to your project solution name will be taken by default or you give it your name.

Step 5: Select the .net frame work in visual studio 2010 take .net framework 4 by default .if you want to develop your project in different framework you can select .net framework 2, 3, 3.5, 4.

Step 6: After doing this all thing ,Development screen will open to build your project development screen has many part like “toolbox”, “property window”, “solution explorer” ,”team explorer” ,and “class view”.

First concentrate on the toolbox.

Toolbox containing the entire component which is important to develop your project likes textbox, label, buttons etc. and change your component property by property window.

Step 7: there is one form named form1 you can change its name by the property window and the go to name option and give it name example “apps1”or you can give any name .using this form you can start your development work.
I build an application which display “hello C# developer “message in textbox, when I press the button.
For developing this apps. I use one textbox and a button.
Step 8: For creating the button and a textbox it need not more effect just go to toolbox click on button and drag it on your form. And click on textbox in toolbox and then drag it in your form.
And place it on proper way.

Step 9: By default the name of textbox is textbox1 and button name is button1.by clicking on it you can see the name at property box. You can change its name using property box. I rename the textbox1 to txt_hello and button1 to btn_ok.

Step 10: just double click on the button that name in btn_ok. Code window will open and you are in the button function.and write your code in side this area the code is:

Step 11: run your project by pressing F5 from keyboard or go to Debug and start Debuging or click on the green arrow key.

The big question is how it works

When you press the button it will trigger the code txt_hello.Text = “hello C# developer”;

Written in the button function.
